The Ebersole family has been in the rock business since Leo got the “bug” in the early 1950’s. The “bug” turned into a full scale business in 1958 when a highway expansion moved us out of our old location to a new shop west of Wichita on 54 Highway.

We thought, at the time, that we would be there forever. We grew and expanded over the years to become one of the largest in the Nation, with our large mail order department. But then in 2000, the highway department decided it needed to expand again and we were again deported. This time the move was monumental. It took months to pack, build a new facility and move into our new location at 5830 W. Hendryx. We’re still in west Wichita, just 4 miles east of our old place, but this time on the north side of 54 Highway. We’re easy to find, just east of the Sam’s/Wal Mart location and before you get to Furniture Row. We’ve worked long and hard to get our new facility ready for business again and are ready and eager to serve you. We’re still your complete Lapidary Supplier. Check with us when you need Lapidary supplies and tumblers, jewelry and silver smithing equipment and supplies. We’re your “One-stop-shop” for your hobby needs.

Ada, the matriarch of the family passed away in November 2010, but was still working in the office at the age of 97! Her oldest son Len travels to various Gem and Mineral Shows all over the United States and gets a chance to meet many of you. Del, Ada’s middle son, works right here at the home shop, keeping the Lapidary and mail order department running smoothly. Val, his daughter, operates the eBay store. Carolyn, Ada’s only daughter, does all the bookkeeping and manages the daily operations.  You can always email us us ebersolerocks@sbcglobal.net or find us on ebay at http://myworld.ebay.com/ebersolerocks/

What a treasure we have found, in Ebersole. AS long as you are in business, we will be dedicated customers. Love the “family” feel of the store and wonderful selection of real stone beads. Thank-you, for helping us grow our business as well.

This is the most amazing place ever. Honestly, I was and still am so inspired by this store. I love the family that owns and runs Ebersoles. If you like rocks. If you like beads and very cool people, you need to check this place out. I adore going in and do so on a regular basis. It is a touch stone kind of place for me.

I live here in Wichita but I am disabled so I use on-line shopping. I get fast service and I always got great paoducts. I spent a lot of money when I used to be able to walk. Great goin’. Did you ever get gold panning supplies? I buy gold on line too.

  6. Grover Whitely replied:

Are you all still selling on-line? I’ve been to your store, however that has become rather hard to do since I’ve moved out of Kansas.

  7. Bruce Caldwell replied:

I remember the old store on W. Kellogg from when I was a child during the 1960’s and then when I would come back to Wichita on Vacation in the 1970’s-80’s-90’s it was one of the places to visit. I truly enjoyed the old store with it’s piles of rocks everywhere and dusty surroundings but hey nothing remains the same but change itself. Keep up the great work…!!! Bruce

  8. Kathleen replied:

Your ebay link doesn’t work. =( Was wondering about a “Stone Gauge Jewelers Mounting Diamond Gauge” one that would show me different shapes and sizes for diamonds etc. Do you carry them? Thanks! Kath

    • ebersolerocks replied:

Hi Kath, I’m so sorry, not sure what’s been going on with our site. It didn’t even tell me we had a note. I’m sure you have already found your Diamond Gauge. We don’t carry them, so luckily we wouldn’t have been any help for you. Again, I’m sorry again about the site problems. Here is our ebay site, http://myworldebay.com/ebersolerocks/

  9. Angela Davies replied:

Sad that the shop had to close. Love to make items for my family and myself. I have long hair and make things to put it up out of the way.

  12. Sherryl Hubble replied:

Do you have a catalog and can you help us locate a used rock saw & polisher. Just getting into rocks

    • ebersolerocks replied:

Good morning Sherryl, Sadly no, we no longer have a catalog. We are all out of our tumblers. However, we used to get ours from a company called Lortone. I believe on their website they should have a list of companies that carry their items. Or maybe you can search ebay for used or new Lortone Tumblers. It’s a really solid brand that lasts years, we suggest starting your search there. Happy hunting!

  13. joe b. replied:

I remember going to your rock store when I was a kid. Now I would love to take my 7 year old there. Thank you for the memories!

  14. Ronnie Altman replied:

Do you still have a mail out catalog like you did back in 1990/1991?
    I still have the catalog # 33.

    • ebersolerocks replied:

No, unfortunately we do not. We are no longer making a catalog because we are trying to sell all of our stock. We have some items on ebay, and continue to put more items on. Thank you for your interest in our company. Check out our ebay store under the name ‘Ebersole Rocks’

  15. Doug Stephens replied:

    • ebersolerocks replied:

I’m sorry, unfortunately we no longer sell tumblers. If you go to the Lortone website, they should have a list of dealers that supply their items. Thanks for your note.

    • ebersolerocks replied:

Hi Charlie, We don’t have any of the tips left. We still have some cords and mounts though. You can order those through our ebay store site. Our store name is Ebersole Rocks. There should be a link to our ebay store here on our website. Thank you so much for your interest in us.

Mayhaps, in the future there, we will come together again.
